  4.   It's  beyond doubts that the scene's
  5. official  language is English, as it's
  6. the most commonly used and it is quite
  7. easy   to   learn  (compared  to  p.g.
  8. French).   But  in  lots of scrollers,
  9. texts  or  in  even mags, writers just
  10. can't  write correctly.  It's not just
  11. about  the  grammatical side, but lots
  12. of  spelling  mistakes  are made.  And
  13. most  of  the  guys  try to hide their
  14. lack   of   knowledge  by  using  that
  15. so-called  cracker language.  I really
  16. don't  know the reason.  We are living
  17. in 1992's Europe, so it's not the case
  18. that  there  are no Englishteachers or
  19. ways  to learn this language, which is
  20. quite  easy  at  a level we need for a
  21. scroll   or   mag.    It's   not  very
  22. difficult  to  learn,  but  a  correct
  23. English  pushes  a  lot on the stuff's
  24. professionality.     I   really   hate
  25. discovering  mistakes  in  so  obvious
  26. forms  like:   they were, and not they
  27. was...    And  an  articlewriter's  or
  28. swapper's  basic term to speak English
  29. very well.
  30.   The   other  side  is  real  English
  31. people's mags, like Grapevine or parts
  32. of Stolen Data, which is quite hard to
  33. understand  for  a foreigner.  Not the
  34. grammar  but  the idioms and words are
  35. making reading difficult, but too good
  36. English is far better than too bad!
  37.   It's an interesting fact that famous
  38. scene  members know English relatively
  39. good.
